Health protection is at the core of our work

Globally, air pollution is responsible for an estimated 8.1 million premature deaths annually. These deaths are preventable.

Mainstreaming health effect considerations into air quality management processes is indispensable for catalyzing abatement efforts towards the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals.

The Clean Air Institute works with interested parties to incorporate integrated approaches, methodologies, and tools for preparing and implementing comprehensive air quality management instruments that have a positive impact on human health and well-being.
