Project description
This technical assistance included support for the implementation of the PAHO Initiative to Eliminate the Use of Solid Fuels for Cooking and Heating as progress towards SDG indicator 7.1.2. CAI experts, together with professionals from other international organizations, participated in the design of various useful tools to support decision-making and inform the general population about the current status and progress in the transition to clean fuels and technologies for cooking in Latin America and the Caribbean. Among these are:

· Roadmap to Abate Emissions from Cooking and Heating with Solid Fuels in Latin America and the Caribbean.

· Country Profile Sheets Regarding the Use of Clean Fuels in Households.
​
· Map of Evidence: Interventions to Reduce Exposure to Household Air Pollution.
​
· Implementation of the Household Energy Assessment Rapid Tool (HEART) in Honduras, Panama, Peru, and Paraguay: Opportunities for the Transition to Clean Household Energy.
